Blush Bridal Lounge Q+A

We were so excited to chat with Blush Bridal Lounge this week about everything you need to know when wedding dress shopping! Check it out below!

Q: How far in advance do you recommend brides shopping for a wedding
dress?

A: We recommend anywhere from 9 months to one year out! It’s
important to start wedding dress shopping when you are emotionally and
financially ready to do so.

Q: Do you require brides to have an appointment? How many people do you recommend coming with?

A: YES. Scheduling an appointment is important when shopping for your wedding gown. Our goal at Blush Bridal Lounge is to help you find your dream dress, and an appointment guarantees that you will have a dressing suite and a Blush stylist’s undivided attention. We do recommend bride’s bring only the guests whose opinions and words of encouragement will help the bride stay positive to make her decision. More than 3 guests can make decision-making difficult and stressful. This is even more important now with restrictions against “large” group gatherings amidst our current environment.

Q: What is the average turnaround time of a wedding dress?

A: A bride should allow herself 4 to 7 months for delivery of her special order gown. There are designers with RUSH options available to be able accommodate faster wedding dates, but this is usually an additional cost to the bride.

Q: Are you noticing a delay in shipments due to COVID?

A: For brides needing to special order their gown, many of our design houses are operating with normal lead times and are providing us with available stock and RUSH options! For bride’s who are waiting on their merchandise to arrive, we are diligently working behind the scenes to receive deliveries & are in continuous communication with our designers to ensure orders are on track. This is a constantly evolving situation though
and we are of course, trying to take appropriate planning measures to ease concerns if any, over shipment timing and/or any delays.

Q: Do you sell dresses off the rack ever?

A: We do not because we have a sister location called Second Summer Bride, where brides can purchase discounted designer store samples right off the rack! They are also stocked with bridal accessories in case a bride
needs additional accessories last minute!

Q: Do you give recommendations for alterations, or do I need to find that on my own?

We do offer our brides a recommended list of skilled/qualified seamstresses who have worked in the bridal industry for over 10 yrs! But they are not required to go off our recommended list.

A huge thank you to Kristin Arriola, the Blush Bridal Lounge manager for answering these questions. If you haven’t checked out Blush Bridal Lounge, head on over to their Instagram to give them a follow: @blushbridallounge ❤️
